Dana Lee: A New face on the Detroit Hip Hop Scene

DETROIT RAP.COM WELCOMES ITS NEWEST ADDITION TO THE STAFF – DANA LEE

As the newest staff member of Detroit Rap.com and host of Detroit Rap.ComTV Dana Lee is very at home in front of the camera, writing and in the Hip Hop community. After starting out modeling in Chicago for local JC Penny ads and acting in plays such as The Color Purple, MacBeth Did It, and Fame, she made her way to Detroit. She began her modeling career here by doing runway fashion shows for a local designer and print advertising for local photographers such as Jay Rizee, Mr Ice, and ForgiveMeNot Photos by Taurise. Currently making her way into film she currently finished filming a stalker awareness movie entitled Allure and the soon to be released Anamorphia, all filmed here in Detroit.

With many more film projects to come she has taken on the task of co-hosting Detroit Rap.ComTV. Stating Hip Hop as being one of her loves, she has already participated in local events such as the Quest for A Cure Benefit concert, and several Monthly Mixers. A fan of Scarface, Tupac, Ice Cube, DMX, Method Man, Kool G Rap, and Jay – Z, when asked why she loved Hip Hop, she stated “ It’s the expression. I love the creativeness of the lyrics and a track that just makes you nod and go DDDAAAMMMNNN!!!. You don’t wana get out and dance, you just wana sit there and listen!” When asked if she had any local favorites here she simply said “ Being new to the Detroit hip hop scene, I don’t wana make any calls yet, but there are a few who I think get it in!”
